(astronomy)
A dark band which appears around the polar caps of Mars as they shrink during the spring and early summer.
(geology)
A layer of bubble-free, dense ice found in a glacier.
A bluish clay found as a thin, persistent bed near the base of No. 6 coal everywhere in the Illinois-Indiana coal basin.

They discontinued the area identifier with this system but this proved unpopular so since there is option of having a regional code on the right hand side blue band which also displays the year of registration they also added the blue EU band at the LHS at this time.
A largely unknown blue band "Blue Things" was able to mix their Byrdesque folk and energetic pop rock to become a regional success in the Midwest and Texas.
Blue bands, which show solidarity against school bullies, yellow bands for cancer research and anti-racism black and white bands have been promoted by top footballers and pop stars.
