Bombing errors can be classified into three categories:
i. 50% range error. A half-distance between two lines parallel to each other, perpendicular to the track, and equidistant from the mean point of impact, which contains half the missiles independently aimed to hit that point.
ii. 50% deflection error. A half-distance between two lines parallel to each other, parallel to the track, and equidistant from the desired mean point of impact, which contains between them the half-impact point of missiles independently aimed to hit that point.
iii. 50% circular error. The radius of the circle, with the center at the desired mean point of impact, which contains half-missiles independently aimed to hit that point.
