breccia: see conglomerate conglomerate, in geology, sedimentary rock composed largely of pebbles or other rounded particles whose diameter is larger than 2 mm (.08 in.). Essentially a cemented gravel, conglomerates are formed along beaches, as glacial drift, and in river deposits.

breccia

Coarse sedimentary rock consisting of angular or nearly angular fragments larger than 0.08 in. (2 mm). Breccia commonly results from processes such as landslides or geologic faulting, in which rocks are fractured. It can also be of igneous explosive origin (e.g., a volcanic breccia).

The Proterzoic host sequence at Aldebaran is altered with rather intense silicification, extensive brecciation, multi-episodic colloform banded quartz veins (including some adularia), veinlet stockworks, hematite, pyrite and traces of chalcopyrite.
Significant epithermal veining and brecciation has been intersected in 4 of the drill holes, extending the strike length of the Bonza-Las Penas epithermal system to over 3km.
Red Hill - large magnetic anomaly known to be caused by a mafic intrusive of the Mount Kare Igneous suite, with associated brecciation and gold mineralisation that is currently being artisanally worked by informal miners.
