The period from midnight to midnight; it is 24 hours of mean solar time in length and coincides with the civil day.

They do not seem to quite understand the difference between calendar days and work days.
Her school has only paid her for 45 calendar days of maternity leave even though there was a school term holiday of 14 days and a couple of public holidays as well as 12 days of weekends during that period of time.
Not counting leap years, any calendar day will move to the next day of the week the following year.
