Webcam blocker

Software that keeps a computer's Webcam turned off to ensure a person's privacy. A malevolent program can employ the computer's camera to capture the user's face and immediate surroundings, and Webcam blockers make sure that the camera is turned off until the user wants it activated. The term also refers to a clip-on or snap-on cover that is placed over the camera's lens. See Webcam.
