Tokyo, Japan, Feb 9, 2007 - (JCN) - Toray Industries announced on February 9 that the company would expand production capacity in its PAN-based carbon fiber TORAYCA composite material at its three manufacturing bases in Japan, the U. developed a silane-coated carbon fiber that is being evaluated for vehicle brake discs. Both the hull and decks are built of fiberglass composites with balsa wood core and the mast is built of a carbon fiber composite. |
