Berlinger et al believed that intracranial tumors could involve the temporal bone as a result of either direct extension, hematogenous or lymphatic spread, meningeal carcinomatosis, or leptomeningeal extension. The best response to treatment was stable disease in six patients, one with ovarian cancer, one with unknown primary-peritoneal carcinomatosis and four with NSCLC. |
