A good quality of chemical pulp or rag pasteboard made by combining two or more webs of paper, either with or without paste, while still wet; used for signs, printed material, and high-quality boxes.

The floor of the stage consisted of smooth boards, at the sides was some painted cardboard representing trees, and at the back was a cloth stretched over boards.

And back of the trees were rows of cardboard houses, painted in various colors but most of them having green blinds.
