Chining 

a city in China, in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region. Population, 160,000 (1970). Chining is a railroad junction on the Ulan Bator-Peking and Chining-Paot’ou lines. The city has a meat-packing plant, a butter and milk plant, a meat and milk plant, a wool factory, and a leather factory. Chining also has plants for the production of agricultural machinery and mineral fertilizers.
