To unite in a sequence, link together, or link to a chain.

concatenate

To join together two or more files or lists to form one big one.

The Unix cat command can be used to concatenate files.

concatenate

To link structures together. Concatenating files appends one file to another. In speech synthesis, units of speech called "phonemes" (k, sh, ch, etc.) are concatenated to produce meaningful sounds. See concatenating text files.
