(biochemistry) C9H13N3O5Cytosine riboside, a nucleoside composed of one molecule each of cytosine andD-ribose. Cytidine (also cytosine riboside), a natural organic compound; a nucleoside consisting of the pyrimidine base cystosine and the carbohydrate D-ribose. Cytidine forms long, needle-like crystals or a white crystalline powder, both of which are hygroscopic and readily soluble in water. It has a molecular weight of 243.2.
