Pinkish purple flower spikes on a cylinder-shaped head, spiky leaves. Strong anti-bacterial. Whole plant used for heart and overall health. Roots used for measles, pneumonia etc. Fruit is legume pod containing 1-2 seeds. Very nutritious food. Leaves made into tea. Roots can be eaten raw.
