Each standard data block is expanded to include eight byte protection information. FalconStor SIR draws on FalconStor's patented IPStor(R) technology architecture to provide a policy-driven redundant data elimination (RDE) engine and object repository for backup and archive data designed to store only a single instance of each file or data block. Usually maximum data rates are seen with sequential data streams that are either entirely Read or entirely Write operations, and have data block sizes of 64 KBytes or larger. |
