de Blois, Natalie (1921– ) architect; birthplace unknown. She joined Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill soon after graduating from Columbia University in 1944, and in her 30-year career there she worked closely with Gordon Bunshaft. As a senior designer she exerted a major but anonymous influence on many of the firm's most famous office developments, including the Connecticut General Life Insurance Building in Bloomfield, Conn. (1957), and the Pepsi-Cola (now Olivetti) (1959) and Union Carbide (1960) buildings, both in New York City. She joined Neuhaus & Taylor, Houston (1975). How to thank TFD for its existence?
