Demobilization 

the transfer of armed forces and entire sectors of the national economy from wartime to peacetime status. Demobilization provides at the end of a war for the reduction of the armed forces to regular peacetime forces by disbanding troop units, headquarters, installations, and institutions formed during wartime, the discharge of surplus personnel into the reserve, and the return to the national economy of property confiscated during mobilization.

Based on the CPA, all demobilization will be through the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) authorities, while the international community's role is to support this process.
