It is a key component used to multiplex and demultiplex optical signals in WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) in which multiple optical signal waves are transmitted in a single optical fiber. TCDL can accept data from many different sources, then encrypt, multiplex, encode, transmit, demultiplex and route this data at high speed to shipboard workstations for timely exploitation. |
