digital picture frame

Also found in: Wikipedia 0.02 sec.

digital picture frame

An Internet appliance that displays a picture on an LCD screen and uses an always-on cable modem or DSL connection. It lets you upload images over the Internet directly into the digital frames of family members and friends. These "smart" picture frames hold several images and, like a slide projector, can be made to change pictures at prescribed intervals. For a service fee, art of all kinds can also be downloaded into digital picture frames.

Digital and Analog
The world is a mix of analog and digital. Why shouldn't your coffee table be? The difference between the digital picture frame (right, rear) and the others is that it can change images at preset intervals.
