Logic the relation that holds between two entities when and only when they are not identical; the property of being numerically distinct

(communications)
Method of signal extraction by which an optimum resultant signal is derived from a combination of, or selection from, a plurality of transmission paths, channels, techniques, or physical arrangements; the system may employ space diversity, polarization diversity, frequency diversity, or any other arrangement by which a choice can be made between signals.
