The 2001 Rodney Strong Symmetry ($55) red meritage, which won a double gold at this year's San Francisco Chronicle wine competition, hits the shelves along with the Strong 2003 cabernet sauvignon ($19), the latter surprisingly rich in flavor and long in finish.
Joining in the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the announcement, held on Broadway (on the sidewalk just north of Trinity Church), were community leaders elected officials, and Olympians including Lindy Remigino, double gold medalist from the 1952 games in Helsinki as well as and other outstanding Olympians; Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding Daniel L.
In 2002, he won double gold medals at the Armed Forces Championship.
