For graphical presentation, results were converted to approximate change in the dose producing a 20% fall in FEV1 (PD20), in doubling dose units (32).
To ensure asthma stability, mean baseline FEV^sub 1^ had to be within 10%, and the PC^sub 20^FEV^sub 1^(MBr) had to remain within one doubling dose on Day 1 of both treatment periods.
