Using two monitors with the same computer. This is accomplished by using two monitors and either two display adapters or one display adapter with dual ports. In configurations using two or more monitors, all monitors function as one, and the mouse pointer seamlessly moves between the screens. See window spanning.

Dual Monitors
This Windows XP machine uses a dual-port NVIDIA display adapter and two Samsung 21" flat panel monitors. Such a system allows four Web pages to be viewed side by side.


Monitor Settings
Windows automatically detects multiple display adapters and lets you configure them individually. This Display Properties dialog box is displayed by right clicking the mouse on the desktop.


Dual Port Card
