When used in conjunction with the Fujitsu FLASHWAVE 7700 long haul DWDM system, the FLASHWAVE 7300 transponder can transport 176 full duplex channels at 10 Gbps in under five racks for tremendous space savings in crowded central offices and co-location spaces--no other DWDM commercial system can offer this capacity. Recently a customer designed a very cost effective OC-3 system around two pairs of CS4180 cores (single-clock cycle architecture) to achieve 2,048 duplex channels on two Xilinx Virtex-II(TM) XC2V1000-4 devices. Available January 2000, the GTX-P10 single duplex channel protocol analyzer configuration sells for $49,800. |
