The occurrence of pink to blue, tender nodules on the anterior surfaces of the lower legs; more frequent in women than men.

Other skin conditions include onycholysis (separation of the distal nail from the nailbed), erythema nodosum (a tender nodule, usually on an extremity), and granuloma annulare-like lesions.
The organism can also cause mesenteric lymphadenitis, which mimics appendicitis, or infection at other body sites that occasionally leads to postinfectious sequelae such as reactive arthritis and erythema nodosum (1).
