To use this memory, a special 64 KB window called the expanded memory page frame is created in the upper memory addressed between 640 KB and 1,024 KB (see Figure 1).
Software must adhere to the EMS specification to be able to use the expanded memory page frame address in upper memory.
By adding the NOEMS parameter, will not waste any upper memory by reserving blocks for expanded memory page frames but we will make upper memory blocks available for use by other software.
