exploded view
An illustration in which all the elements of an assembly are slightly separated from each other, enabling each element to be viewed independently. Pie charts are a type of business graphic that is also shown in an exploded view, where all pieces of the pie are separated from each other.
exploded view [ik′splōd·əd ′vyü]
(graphic arts)
A drawing or picture of any article or piece of equipment in which the component parts are separated but so arranged to show their relationship to the whole.

A drawing, rendering, or the like showing the individual disassembled components of an apparatus, device, or machine; the parts are shown in their proper relationship with respect to their assembled position.
