A chamber, or one of two chambers, in the vertebrate heart which receives blood from the atrium and forces it into the arteries by contraction of the muscular wall.
One of the interconnecting, fluid-filled chambers of the vertebrate brain that are continuous with the canal of the spinal cord.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain obtained at the outside hospital reported a large posterior fossa tumor within the fourth ventricle as well as obstructive hydrocephalus.
MRI of the brain showed a contrast enhancing lesion located at the roof of the fourth ventricle extending into the pons with significant edema.
