A parameter d̄ associated with a fractal material distribution of fractal dimensionDsuch that the average frequency ω of fractons of sizelis given by a power law stating that ω^d̄is proportional tol^-D, and the density of vibrational states is proportional to ω^d̄-1. Also known as spectral dimension.
