full mesh

    0.05 sec.

full mesh

A network architecture in which each end point is capable of reaching any other end point directly through a point-to-point physical or logical circuit. Contrast with "hub and spoke," which uses a central switching point and half as many direct circuits.

Full Mesh Vs. Hub and Spoke
In this frame relay example, the blue lines provide a full mesh between each end point. In order to save costs, the hub and spoke architecture requires only three circuits. (Illustration drawn with assistance courtesy of Alcatel, www.alcatel.com)

Based on the Sensimesh distributed mesh network architecture, the H900 Wireless SensorNet System enables inexpensive low power sensor nodes to communicate directly with one another, in either full mesh, partial mesh, or hub and spoke configurations.
Product features include dynamic bandwidth allocation and switching, data carrier management, voice prioritization, data compression and acceleration, full mesh capabilities using Single Hop On Demand, and Multi-Transponder Mode.
It features two Gigabit Ethernet ports to the base interface and ten Gigabit Ethernet ports (4 channels, with 4,4,1,1 port distribution) to the fabric interface of the AdvancedTCA backplane, allowing configuration flexibility for dual star or full mesh topologies.
