1. a hollow utensil with a wide mouth tapering to a small hole, used for pouring liquids, powders, etc., into a narrow-necked vessel
2. a smokestack for smoke and exhaust gases, as on a steamship or steam locomotive

A tube with one conical end that sometimes holds a filter; the function is to direct flow of a liquid or, if a filter is present, to direct a flow that was filtered.
(naval architecture)
A smokestack of a ship.
