Future date testing only shows the effects of dates on the computer(s) under scrutiny, it does not take into account knock-on effects of dates on other connected systems.

CADAS provides Future Date Testing and Data Time Travel, testing applications at different future and past dates.
Crowley, XRAY/2000 utilizes a two-phased approach in evaluating applications for Y2K compliance: a "code-driven" phase in which application source code is intensively inspected by TSR's Catch/21(R) software for potential errors and omissions, and a "data-driven" phase in which TSR's Future Date testing software is utilized to benchmark simulated Year 2000 tests against actual data.
While there is no guarantee that renovations will run in the Year 2000, experts agree that testing, especially future date testing, plays a critical role in addressing the Year 2000 challenge.
