Granadilla Wood
the wood of several tropical trees of the Papilionaceae family. The wood of the African variety of granadilla, or ebony (Dalbergia melanoxylon), grows to a height of 10 m and has reddish black wood. The West Indian granadilla, or American ebony (Brya ebenus), is a small American arbuscle with reddish brown wood. Granadilla wood is very hard and heavy, to the extent that it sinks in water.
