Histopathologic findings demonstrated ulcers and dermal granulation tissue with linearly arranged eosinophils, mast cells, neutrophils, and plasma cells between dense, homogeneous collagen bundles (sclerosing dermatitis).
A biopsy of the granulation tissue in the left ear was sent for histopathology and microbiology.
