In the Scottish shale-oil industry, once-run crude shale oil.

Green Oil 

a mixture of macromolecular polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons produced by distillation of the tar formed by cracking petroleum or petroleum products. It boils at temperatures of 165°-350°C; its density is about 970 kg/m3 at 20°C, and it contains not more than 8 percent naphthalene. It is used chiefly as a raw material in making carbon black, which is used in the plastics, paint and lacquer, and printing industries. [£-1343–3]
