greenwashing
Making a point of how environmentally friendly a company is, when, in fact, nothing is actually done to accomplish that end. Greenwashing is false advertising in order to be politically correct in today's world. See EPEAT.

So why should anyone believe a piece of greenwash from George Osborne?
