gruvi card

    0.01 sec.
gruvi card
A microSD memory card from SanDisk Corporation (www.sandisk.com) that is designed for paid content. Using SanDisk's TrustedFlash digital rights management (DRM), it enables content to be distributed in a very compact, copy protected format to cellphones, digital music players and other portable devices that have microSD or SD Card slots. In 2005, the Rolling Stone's "A Bigger Bang" album was the first gruvi title to be released. See SD Card.

The Rolling Stones Gruvi card provides a simple, convenient solution for music playback on mobile phones.
Use of the Matrix 3-D Memory extends beyond video games and hopefully will play an important role in content distribution such as incorporation in our recently launched Gruvi cards for secure distribution of premium music titles and other preloaded content in handsets," said Eli Harari, Chief Executive Officer of SanDisk.
Roughly the size of a fingernail, the gruvi card comes with an adapter that can expand it to the size of a larger SD(TM) card, thus enabling it to be played in a variety of SD-compatible devices including laptop computers and PDAs.
