Irish biotech group Alltracel Pharmaceuticals yesterday confirmed it had secured an American patent for its m-doc haemostat blood-stopping spray - the first of its kind for consumer use.
It is being developed as a topical haemostat that stops acute and severe bleeding during surgery and after trauma injury.
