Half-Open Interval
in mathematics, the set of points on a number line that satisfy the inequality a ≤ x < b or the inequality a < x ≤ b. In the first case, the half-open interval is denoted by [a, b), and in the second case, by (a, b]. The points a and b are called the endpoints of the half-open interval.
