Thermodynamic Potential It is known from thermodynamics that when entropy terms are neglected the heat of dissociation of an antioxidant may be expressed in terms of oxidation reduction potential as: [Delta] H = NFE (1) where H is heat of dissociation, N is the number of moles dissociated, F is Faraday's constant, and E is the potential for dissociation.
