hybrid circuit
A circuit that contains different types of electronic components (discrete and IC, analog and digital, DSP and CPU, etc.). See mixed signal and hybrid microcircuit.

(electricity)
A circuit in which two or more basically different types of components, such as tubes and transistors, performing similar functions are used together.
