iPod dock
A cradle that holds an iPod and provides a cable connection to the computer or stereo system. The dock may also be built into a stand-alone boom box. Every iPod that uses the dock connector (some iPods use only USB) has a socket at the bottom of the unit, and every dock has a plug. The iPod is pushed onto the plug in the dock.
