In a typical FC SAN environment, there are MANY more disks being served by a set of network connections than with a ISCSI SAN.
The connection layer is the TCP/IP connection between the server and the iSCSI storage target, which, in our case, is the ISCSI intelligent storage switch.
The pocket is sent to the ISCSI storage device where the packets ore assembled and organized in the proper way so the remote SCSI bus can process the commands.
