The connection layer is the TCP/IP connection between the server and the iSCSI storage target, which, in our case, is the ISCSI intelligent storage switch.
ISCSI, combined with existing volume and RAID management functionality found in today's operating systems, will accelerate the adoption of iSCSI for IP SANs in business IT infrastructures.
