bevel [′bevĀ·əl]
(design engineering) The angle between one line or surface and another line or surface, or the horizontal, when this angle is not a right angle. A sloping surface or line. (graphic arts) An instrument composed of two rules joined together, opening to any angle, which is used to draw angles and measure and lay off bevels. bevel 1.
