Fulguration
a method of treating such conditions as circumscribed benign growths of epithelium or sites of pruritus by applying a spark from an alternating current without the active electrode coming into direct contact with body tissues. In modern medical practice, fulguration has been replaced by the contact method of cauterization called electrocoagulation. REFERENCEKovarshik, I. Elektroterapiia.
