| A major aspect of the combined unions and ACTU "Your Rights @ Work" campaign against the Howard government's industrial relations laws is to highlight their impact in the lead up to the next federal election which is to be held toward the end of 2007. The Australian Centre for Industrial Relations Research and Training last year completed a survey of over 5000 young people aged under 25 in New South Wales, finding that half of those surveyed 'did not know the difference between casual and permanent work, even though almost 4 out of 5 were casuals; while one-quarter of young workers did not receive payslips.
