    0.01 sec.
infectious rhinitis [in′fek·shəs rī′nīd·əs]
(medicine)
Inflammation of the nasal mucous membrane due to an infectious microorganism.

Rhinitis, Infectious

in rabbits, an infectious disease manifested by sneezing and mucopurulent discharges from the nasal cavity. Infectious rhinitis occurs throughout the world. Its etiology has not been conclusively determined. The causative agent is most widely believed to be Pasteurella multocida and therefore the disease is often considered to be a chronic form of pasteurellosis. Recovery is rare. On large farms diseased animals are killed.
