The most widely used technology to granulate and super-clean recycled plastics to the required standard, developed and patented by South Carolina-based United Resource Recovery Corporation (URRC), needs the input stream of containers to be completely free of metallic contamination to avoid the risk of damage to the high speed shredders used to convert the bottles into granulate for further processing.
However, since the consistency of scanning solutions across multiple document types is still not 100%, for companies having large document input streams, adding inexpensive offshore resources to do the scanning, indexing and categorization functions can sometimes still provide a less expensive alternative.
The network ports can be configured to operate in either span or inline mode, giving the user flexibility to deploy multiple or all ports as inline taps, while using the remaining ports as input streams only.
