interleave To intersperse one after the other. See sector interleave and memory interleaving.interleave [‚in·tər′lēv] (computer science) To alternate parts of one sequence with parts of one or more other sequences in a cyclic fashion such that each sequence retains its identity. To arrange the members of a sequence of memory addresses in different memory modules of a computer system, in order to reduce the time taken to access the sequence.
