An atmosphere in hydrostatic equilibrium, in which the temperature is constant with height and the pressure decreases exponentially upward. Also known as exponential atmosphere.

isothermal atmosphere

A standard atmosphere in which the air is assumed to be dry and to have the same standard temperature of 10°C.
