The trees send their tiny seeds drifting to the forest floor, where they filter in between the ivy leaves and settle - and it's too dark and chilly under there for germination. To help women inmates feel as if they are still connected to home, the barracks are surrounded by flower gardens and white fences and decorated with stenciled paintings of ivy leaves and potted plants. A handsome polished pattern of ivy leaves and floral garlands provided a decorative contrast to the matte surface. |
