Jambosa
a genus of plants of the family Myrtaceae. (The genus is sometimes included in the genus Syzygium.) The plants include trees or shrubs with simple, entire leaves. The flowers are solitary or in panicles. The fruit is baccate. There are more than 100 species, found in the tropics of the Old World. Many species are cultivated for their edible aromatic fruits.
